Have you written any New Years Resolutions this year? I’ve written up a couple as well as a bucket list of things I want to do before I’m 30. I’ve got a whole load of beautiful planners to help me keep track of my goals and I’m using a nutrition and health plan that I’m really enjoying. I want 2018 to be an epic year, a year of challenge, changes, freedom, fun and most of all family time.
Creating the best year of your life doesn’t have to be hard, but it can be a little bit scary. It means reflecting on the fabulous things that have happened as well as working through the hardships, learning from them and thinking about how you can change them. I’ve started the year by mapping out my one big goal which is where I want to focus my efforts and that is my health and weight loss. I am working hard on getting the right nutrition into my body and getting rid of the fat I’ve carried around for far too long. I’ve written down what is motivating me to focus on my health and why it’s so important to me.
I would like to have more children but I don’t want to get pregnant and deal with being overweight again. I want to have a fit and healthy lifestyle so that I can be a role model to my children. I want to learn about good, healthy nutrition so that I can educate my children and teach them to make balanced healthy choices.
An epic year for me is going to include giving more focus to this blog so that I can build it up. I want to create an inspiring, happy, beautiful place on the internet so that I can help others create a happy, epic year for themselves too. I want to work more with my freelancing clients and take on more social media management. I am going to finish my NLP certification so that I really look into setting up a coaching platform which of course is my absolute dream career.
I’ve been right at the bottom, homeless and living in a refuge with my two-year-old daughter. I’ve had various jobs for various companies before figuring out what I actually wanted to be doing. I’ve always wanted to write and when I found out this was how I could work and live and give my family what they deserve I was amazed and I’ve worked hard to make sure that has happened. Last year I had some really successfully high paying months which made such a difference to our lifestyle. This year I’m hoping to have even more of these months and I’m going to work hard to make sure that happens.
What I’m trying to say is that it doesn’t matter where you come from or how low you may have felt. If you have a passion for something and you’re prepared to work hard at it then you can make sure those dreams, passions, careers come true for you. It takes courage, determination and a lot of organisation but I have seen mums build a career around their kids, around other work commitments, against family members that don’t believe in them. The most important thing is believing in yourself, setting yourself goals and then working hard on achieving them.
